20mm TORNADO Spin Weld Fitting
Description
Spin welding or friction welding involves inserting a plastic fitting into a close fit hole and rapidly spinning it by means of a router to fuse the fitting to the product (usually a polyethylene tank).
Each fitting incorporates a 360° energy director focusing the friction on a smaller surface area to help initiate the melt giving a faster more secure bond.
Eight external support ribs spaced evenly around each fitting offers optimal load distribution resulting in excellent mechanical strength even when under load from input/output pipes. Manufactured from virgin, LLDPE with a 7-year UV stability guarantee. Manufactured in white (natural), black and Roto Quip Grey, custom colours available on request.
